ABOUT DESIGNER SARAH LEWIS

Sarah Lewis is the heart & soul, and 1-woman-show behind all things Hiouchi Jewels and Rose & Bolt!  She's been a creative and entrepreneur all her life.  Growing up in upstate NY, her artistic journey began with ceramics, sewing and glass blowing.  She studied product design and metals & jewelry in college, and received her BFA from the Savannah College of Art & Design.  Sarah's professional career began designing accessories for boho-chic brand Free People, before launching her own small business & jewelry brand in 2009.  Over the years she has owned a few brick & mortar boutiques, re-branded & moved locations a few times, and has now found her happy place with her business and personal life, in Evergreen, Colorado.  Outside of jewelry, Sarah is dedicated to her yoga practice, loves spending time in nature, eating plants, and seeing live music.

ABOUT HIOUCHI JEWELS

Hiouchi Jewels is handmade, bohemian fashion jewelry, for down-to-earth modern women!  Inspired by nature, designs feature moon phases, mountains, sacred geometry, feathers, and zodiac motifs ~ crafted in a palette of natural crystals and stones, silver and gold.  Hiouchi Jewels is affordable, yet refined.  Hiouchi Jewels is an expression of Sarah's personal style, as she creates pieces that she wants to wear!  She believes jewelry can help women shine and reflect their inner beauty, and express a free-spirited style.  In addition to Jewelry, Sarah has added crystals, ritual & home decor offerings, to complement the lifestyle of the women who wear her jewelry. 

'Hiouchi' is a Native American word, meaning "blue waters", and is the name of the area in Northern California, where Sarah lived.  She named her business after this special place to carry the magic of this special place with her.

ABOUT ROSE & BOLT

Rose & Bolt is officially licensed Grateful Dead Jewelry! Launched in 2021, Rose & Bolt has quickly gained a dedicated following, has been worn by the band on stage, and is sold in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Sarah has brought her modern bohemian aesthetic, to designs featuring the classic Grateful Dead iconography. Bold statement styles, and elegant fine jewelry pieces feature roses, lightning bolts, dancing bears and skulls. As a lifelong deadhead, Rose & Bolt is a dream project for Sarah, being able to combine her love of jewelry design, with the music, lifestyle, and culture that has been so inspirational to her. She is honored to share her creations with the Grateful Dead community.
