Rose & Bolt Launch Party
In addition to designing Rose & Bolt Jewelry, Sarah has also collaborated with apparel designer Taylor Swope of Little Hippie, to create a capsule collection of officially licensed Grateful Dead clothing collection! Women’s tank tops and t-shirts will feature the Rose & Bolt logo on fashion forward silhouettes printed with a specialty glitter ink in Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold, to match the jewelry. This collection will be unveiled and available for purchase at the Launch Party on July 10th. After this, Rose & Bolt Clothing will be available for purchase through RoseAndBolt.com and LittleHippie.com.
“The Grateful Dead’s music is an important part of my life and an inspiration for all of my creative work,” said designer Sarah Lewis. “This collaboration is a dream project for me. I’ve carried my modern bohemian aesthetic from Hiouchi Jewels into this collection, adding the iconic Grateful Dead Roses & Bolts to each piece. The Grateful Dead is so much more than music - it is a lifestyle, a community, a vibrant, unique culture. It is truly an honor to have my jewelry join the rich lineage of licensed Grateful Dead artwork and merchandise.”
Rose & Bolt is a collection of handmade rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, all featuring roses and the classic 13-point lightning bolt. Elegant, delicate styles come in sterling silver, 16k yellow gold, and rose gold while bolder statement styles feature turquoise stones and quartz crystals. Although Rose & Bolt carries similarities to Sarah’s classic Hiouchi Jewels Collection, many aspects are new. Sarah has never before used rose gold and the debut of this metal is appropriate for the rose motifs in the collection. With Hiouchi Jewels, Sarah has typically made jewelry for women; however Rose & Bolt offers unisex / gender neutral styles.
Rose & Bolt Jewelry attracts fans of all ages. Each piece comes in beautiful, collectors boxes and microsuede drawstring pouches. Rose & Bolt is ‘Lot meets Luxury’- classic styles can go from day to night, office to dance floor, from formal events to shakedown! Rose & Bolt jewelry will prove to be coveted pieces in any Dead Head’s collection.

About the Grateful Dead
Grateful Dead is a social and musical phenomenon that grew into a genuine American treasure. In 1965, an entire generation was linked together by common ideals, gathering by the hundreds and thousands. This movement created a seamless connection between the band and its fans. As the band toured, Dead Heads would follow. Not because it was a part of popular culture, but because it is a true counterculture that exists to this very day-one that earnestly believes in the value of its beliefs. By 1995, Grateful Dead had attracted the most concert goers in the history of the music business, and today remain one of the all-time leaders in concert ticket sales. Eventually, the caravan evolved into a community with various artists, craftsmen and entrepreneurs supplying a growing demand for merchandise that connected them to the music. Today, the connection is as strong as ever. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1994 and received a Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007. Their final tally of 2,318 total concerts remains a world record.
